The Angry Birds Movie is making its return to the big screen to commemorate its 10th anniversary. Sony Pictures Entertainment and Iconic Events Releasing have announced that this animated comedy will have a special theatrical re-release starting November 13 at select theaters across the United States.
Tickets for this limited engagement are now available through major ticketing platforms. This re-release comes just ahead of the highly anticipated The Angry Birds Movie 3, set to hit theaters on December 23 from Paramount Pictures.
Originally debuting on May 20, 2016, The Angry Birds Movie achieved significant success at the box office, grossing over $350 million worldwide. The film ranked among the top 10 highest-grossing animated movies globally that year.
Based on the beloved mobile game franchise, the film unfolds on an island inhabited by cheerful, flightless birds. However, their peaceful existence is disrupted by the arrival of mysterious green pigs, prompting three unlikely heroes to uncover their motives.
The voice cast includes Jason Sudeikis as Red, a short-tempered bird, Josh Gad as the quick-witted Chuck, and Danny McBride as the volatile Bomb. Additional cast members feature Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Sean Penn, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage.
