The new EXO-6 Star Trek: The Original Series Lt. Commander Spock (Environmental Suit) 1/6 Scale Action Figure is now available for pre-order at various retailers, including BigBadToyStore.
“Be certain we expose ourselves to nothing.” This figure depicts Spock as he appeared on the frozen surface of Psi 2000, a dying planet where a landing party discovered a station full of dead Starfleet researchers in the classic Star Trek: The Original Series Season 1 episode, “The Naked Time.”
Designed by costume designer William Ware Theiss, the environmental suit was created specifically for the Psi 2000 landing party and has not appeared again in the series. This memorable costume was famously improvised from shower curtain material, showcasing the low-budget ingenuity that characterized The Original Series. The design features a loose-fitting coverall made from a striking orange fabric with a silver metallic pattern, complemented by a soft hood and a screened face panel.
Notably, this suit is the one Spock wore when Lt. Tormolen unwittingly exposed the Enterprise to the Psi 2000 contagion. The result is one of the most visually distinctive looks from the entire series.
