Professor Charles Xavier is officially rolling back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Hot Toys is bringing the legendary mutant leader straight to collectors’ shelves with its newly revealed Avengers: Doomsday 1/6th Scale Professor X Collectible Figure.
Based on Professor X’s appearance in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, the new release celebrates the return of Sir Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier and gives collectors a highly detailed sixth scale representation of the iconic founder of the X-Men.
Patrick Stewart Returns as Professor X
Hot Toys has developed an all new head sculpt designed to capture Stewart’s likeness, complete with detailed wrinkles, realistic skin textures, and separate rolling eyeballs. The movable eyes should give collectors considerably more control when posing Xavier, particularly when recreating those intense telepathic moments.
The figure also includes several newly developed interchangeable hands designed for both telepathy poses and interaction with Professor X’s wheelchair.
Professor X is outfitted in a dark navy ribbed inner shirt, matching tactical jacket featuring the X-Men logo, an X-Men belt, dark navy pants, and black shoes.
The fully articulated figure measures approximately 24.5 cm tall when seated with the wheelchair and incorporates a magnetic feature designed to securely connect Xavier to his chair.
Professor X’s Wheelchair Gets the Hot Toys Treatment
Of course, you cannot properly bring this version of Professor X to the collection without his wheelchair.
Hot Toys has recreated the chair with an articulated joystick and rotating wheels, adding another level of functionality to the display.
Collectors will also receive a “Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters” sign along with a wooden floor themed graphic card inspired by the devastating scene shown in the official Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
Between Patrick Stewart’s return, the updated X-Men costume, and the detailed wheelchair, this could become an important piece for collectors building out their Marvel Studios and X-Men displays.
With Avengers: Doomsday bringing some of Marvel’s biggest heroes and mutants together, Professor X appears ready to once again take his place at the center of the action.
