DC has unveiled its plans for NYCC 2026, and this year, the publisher is bigger than ever. Expect an expanded booth, dedicated cosplay experiences, exclusive convention merchandise, creator signings, and a series of panels designed to reveal what’s next across the DC Universe. Mark your calendars as the convention runs from October 8-11, with DC stationed at Booth No. 4365.
Celebrating 100 Years of DC
In keeping with its ongoing celebration of 100 years of the World’s Greatest Super Heroes, DC is focusing on the 1950s—an era marked by reinvention and experimentation. This retro theme will echo throughout the convention floor.
Special Attractions
Fans can visit a 1950s-inspired Daily Planet newsstand, where they can pick up a free facsimile of the first issue of MAD Magazine, complete with classic ads from DC’s archives. There will even be a blank Daily Planet back cover for autographs.
Adjacent to the main booth, DC will showcase a 360-degree cosplay photo installation, allowing fans to step into the spotlight as their favorite DC characters. Additionally, for select booth activities, including merchandise exclusives and creator signings, DC is introducing digital queues to help avoid the typical convention crowds.
Panels and Special Guests
DC president, publisher, and chief creative officer Jim Lee will host the “Jim Lee & Friends” panel on October 10 at 2 p.m.. This panel promises surprise announcements, special guests, and engaging discussions with various comics creators.
Throughout the weekend, several panels will explore significant publishing initiatives:
- Thursday: The Vertigo + Black Label panel, featuring horror, crime, fantasy, and sci-fi stories outside the core DC Universe.
- Friday: The Absolute Universe panel will spotlight the creators behind the line with exclusive insights into upcoming titles like Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, and more.
- Saturday: The Next Level & Beyond panel will delve into DC’s expanding initiatives with exclusive reveals.
Creator Signings
Notable creators, including Jim Lee, Matt Fraction, Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, and others, will be making appearances at the booth. Fans can enter digital queues for signings with the creative teams behind Batman of Two Worlds, Absolute Batman, and Legion of Super-Heroes.
Upcoming Collectibles
This year, DC will highlight Mattel’s upcoming DC Collector line, set to launch globally on January 1, 2027. The first Mattel DC Collector item will be revealed on October 8 at noon ET, with preorders opening immediately afterward at MattelCreations.com.
For DC fans, NYCC 2026 promises to be more than just a place to grab convention swag. It is shaping up to be a four-day preview of the publisher’s future, enriched by a century of history and ripe with thrilling possibilities.
