A television series centered on one of The Suicide Squad’s most unusual characters could be in development at DC Studios. James Gunn revealed this intriguing possibility during his appearance on the Is It Canon? podcast.
The proposed series would focus on Abner Krill, better known as Polka-Dot Man, who was played by David Dastmalchian in the 2021 film The Suicide Squad. According to Gunn, the concept would delve into the character’s troubled family history, exploring his mother and her various superhero children. This narrative approach aims to shed light on the traumatic upbringing that shaped Abner and the origins of his unique powers.
However, it’s essential for fans to temper their expectations. Gunn stressed that while the idea has been discussed internally at DC Studios, the series has not yet been officially greenlit, so there is no timeline for production or release at this stage.
