This week has been a prolific one for Hasbro, particularly in the action figure segment. Hasbro continues to generate excitement by disclosing new Marvel and Star Wars figures at Fan Expo Canada 2025.
Among the highlights of the announcements are the new Marvel Legends figures for Mysterio and Strong Guy, alongside two Star Wars: The Black Series figures that pay homage to the iconic Anakin/Obi-Wan duel on Mustafar.
The Mysterio figure, part of Hasbro’s ongoing line of Spider-Man Retro figures, features packaging reminiscent of the classic ’90s Toy Biz line, drawing direct inspiration from the character’s appearance in Spider-Man: The Animated Series. This highly anticipated figure includes an unmasked head sculpt, alternate hands, and several special effects accessories.
Exclusively available at Walmart, the Mysterio figure is priced at $24.99 USD/$35.99 CAD and is expected to release in Fall 2025. Preorders will commence on Walmart’s website starting October 9 at 7am PT.
Meanwhile, collectors will be pleased to see the return of Strong Guy in his classic X-Factor costume, a coveted addition for those completing the ’90s X-Men team lineups. This figure includes an alternate head and hands as well as various barbell accessories. Given his size compared to standard Marvel Legends figures, Strong Guy is priced at $39.99 USD/$55.99 CAD. He is also set to release in Fall 2025, with preorders available on Hasbro Pulse and other retailers on August 26 at 10am PT.
For those who missed out on Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Anakin Skywalker vs. Obi-Wan Kenobi set, Hasbro is offering individual releases of both characters in the Black Series line. These new figures reflect the characters’ detailed designs from Revenge of the Sith, providing collectors with another opportunity without the exclusive display base. Each character is priced at $24.99 USD/$35.99 CAD, and they are slated for release in Fall 2025, with preorders opening on Hasbro Pulse and other sites on August 26 at 10am PT.
Additionally, Hasbro introduces a new addition to the Star Wars: The Black Series Electronic Helmet line, launching the Shoretrooper helmet. Modeled after its representation in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, this life-size, wearable replica features button-activated sound effects (batteries not included) and is priced at $109.99 USD/$139.99 CAD. Preorders will start on Hasbro Pulse on August 26 at 10am PT.
