IDW Publishing continues to dynamically expand the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, recently unveiling new solo series for both Shredder and Casey Jones. Enthusiasts of the 1990s TMNT films, as well as the classic narrative exploring the tension between Casey and Raphael, will be thrilled to discover that their notorious feud intensifies in the second installment of TMNT: Casey Jones.

TMNT: Casey Jones #1 is crafted by writer Alex Paknadel (known for Cult of the Lamb: The First Verse) and illustrated by Amancay Nahuelpan (Crush & Lobo), with vibrant colors by Luis Antonio Delgado. This issue showcases covers by Nahuelpan, Nikola Čižmešija, and Jared Cullum. Below is IDW’s official synopsis of the upcoming release:
Before Casey Jones confronts his newly unveiled adversary Ludovic, he finds himself locked in battle with his closest ally, Raphael! Investigating rumors of a fraudulent mutagen circulating on the streets, Casey suspects that whoever targets the mutants is connected to the deeper issues at play. However, Raphael intervenes, believing Casey is overexerting himself and ignoring his instincts. A confrontation ensues as they navigate their complicated feelings, only to be interrupted by Ludovic, who seeks a fight with them both.
“Now you’ve met Ludovic, and you just know he’s on a collision course with our all-too-human Casey,” Paknadel remarked in an interview. “Trust me, our protagonist is about to endure challenges in unprecedented ways. We invite you to join us on this thrilling journey as we’re just commencing this adventure.”
Nahuelpan added, “Drawing Casey and the ensemble in issue #1 was immensely enjoyable, and I am eager for fans to witness what’s ahead, featuring larger battles and more formidable threats for our hero!”
The inaugural issue of TMNT: Casey Jones is currently available at comic retailers. Issue #2 is set for release on November 19, with a final order cutoff on October 13. Both issues can be pre-ordered at your local comic shop.
