Milioti’s victory marks her first Emmy win following her inaugural nomination. Previously, she was awarded the 2025 Critics’ Choice Award for her role in a series that proudly holds a 95% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. In this competitive category, she faced notable nominees including Cate Blanchett for *Disclaimer*, Meaghann Fahy for *Sirens*, Rashida Jones for *Black Mirror*, and Michelle Williams for *Dying for Sex*.

In 2023, Jessica Gunning was honored with her first Emmy in the same category for Netflix’s hit dark comedy/drama series *Baby Reindeer*.

In a previous statement, Milioti expressed her eagerness to reprise her role as Sofia Falcone in *The Batman Part II*. She noted her desire to share the screen with Zoe Kravitz’s Selina Kyle/Catwoman, stating, “I would love that. I love her, and I think we could get into some real sh*t. I don’t know how else to say it! I think we would have a great time.”

*The Penguin* has proven to be a significant success for HBO, featuring Colin Farrell as the titular character, Oz Cobb/Penguin. The series received 24 Emmy nominations and is a continuation of the events following the 2022 blockbuster *The Batman*, with Robert Pattinson in the leading role. Created by Lauren LeFranc, the series expands on the rich narrative established in the Batman universe.

In an interview, Farrell discussed the potential for a second season of *The Penguin*, admitting uncertainty as he shared, “I have no idea. Part of me wants *The Batman* spinoff to be done after just one season. I know that I heard rumblings about a second season, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea. I think we got away with it. Leave it as it is.”

*The Penguin* is currently streaming on HBO Max.
