Toys“R”Us is making a major push back into physical retail across the United States, announcing plans to open 120 new standalone stores nationwide during the 2026 holiday season in partnership with Go! Retail Group.
The expansion is expected to bring Toys“R”Us to 160 standalone U.S. locations by the holiday season, building on the company’s existing stores as well as its Toys“R”Us shops operating inside Macy’s locations.
For collectors and families, the new stores will feature a curated selection of toys, collectibles and holiday releases from brands and properties including LEGO, Barbie, Hot Wheels, Pokémon, KPop Demon Hunters and more.
Select locations are also expected to go beyond the traditional toy-store experience with Creator Studios, giving influencers, toy companies and content creators dedicated spaces for product launches, toy reveals, events and content production. Some stores will additionally feature candy shops and cafés.
The expansion doesn’t stop with traditional retail. Toys“R”Us is continuing to develop shop-in-shop locations at airports and Navy Exchange locations, including new stores at Orlando International Airport.
For longtime toy collectors who remember the massive Toys“R”Us stores of the past, the announcement represents another significant step in the brand’s return to standalone retail in the United States.
