Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien are thrust into a precarious survival scenario in the newly released trailer for Send Help, directed by renowned filmmaker Sam Raimi. This horror feature is set to debut in theaters on January 30, 2026, under the banner of 20th Century Studios.

The film’s ensemble cast includes Dennis Haysbert, Chris Pang, Edyll Ismail, Xavier Samuel, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, and Emma Raimi, rounding out a diverse team navigating dire circumstances.

Send Help follows corporate colleagues Linda (portrayed by McAdams) and Bradley (played by O’Brien), who become unlikely allies as they find themselves stranded on a deserted island after their plane crashes en route to a company event.

In the trailer, tensions are palpable as O’Brien’s character coldly asserts, “As an executive, I see no value in you. You know we have the Bangkok merger coming up. Prove me wrong.” McAdams counters, shedding light on their complex dynamics, pointing out, “You are stuck with an asshole boss, just like I was. Although I’m betting I’m a much nicer boss than you would have ever been — except for maybe this part.”

Marking Raimi’s anticipated return to the horror genre, Send Help features a screenplay penned by Mark Swift and Damian Shannon, with Raimi alongside Zainab Azizi as producers. Raimi, celebrated for his work on classics such as the Evil Dead franchise and Army of Darkness, has not helmed a horror film since 2009’s Drag Me to Hell.

In the annals of Raimi’s recent projects, the director is also known for 2013’s Oz the Great and Powerful and 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in which McAdams also appeared.

Earlier this month, O’Brien shared insights from a recent conversation with Raimi about Send Help, revealing, “He was like, ‘I love the movie. It’s weird. It’s wacky. I think a lot of people might love it, too. I also think some might not.‘ And I was like, ‘Well, that’s great. To me, we’ve succeeded if that’s the case.'”
