Warner Bros. has dropped the first teaser trailer for Gremlins 3, bringing Gizmo and the legendary Mogwai mayhem back to the big screen. The studio has confirmed that the sequel has been delayed from its tentative November 19, 2027 window and is now locked into a theatrical release date of October 6, 2028.
Chris Columbus, who wrote the original 1984 classic, is returning to direct and produce, while Steven Spielberg is back as an executive producer. The script is crafted by Zach Lapovsky and Adam Stein.
In a nostalgic nod to the franchise’s roots, the production team has promised to heavily utilize practical creature effects rather than relying solely on CGI, a move likely to delight collectors and fans of classic film effects.
