The narrative introduces readers to the Daughter of Drakulon, Vampirella, who is hot on the trail of a soul-sucking succubus with unique habits that defy earthly conventions. In a parallel plot, Morrigan, the demon princess from the realm of Makai, escapes her royal duties to indulge in earthly pleasures, leading to an intriguing cat-and-mouse dynamic across New York City. As the two femme fatales recognize their identities as outsider monsters, an unexpected twist arises with the introduction of the notorious hunter, Baby Bonnie Hood, further heightening the stakes of this crossover.
Seeley himself expressed his enthusiasm for crossovers, stating, “I love crossovers, which I’m sure doesn’t surprise anyone. And I especially love ones that can unexpectedly delight, and come out of nowhere. Vampi vs Morrigan is all of those things, with the added bonus of being sexy, and drawn by Drax Gal. It’s vampiress anti-heroines from games, comics, modern and retro, mashing it up with lots of teeth and skin.” This perspective highlights not only the artistic value but also the collector’s excitement driven by character pairing and creative storytelling.
