In a significant development for comic book enthusiasts, Marvel and DC Comics are set to reissue one of the most celebrated crossover events in comic history.

According to ComicBookMovie, fans can look forward to the release of new facsimile editions of the groundbreaking 2003 JLA/Avengers crossover. The first and third issues, JLA/Avengers #1 and #3, will be published by Marvel Comics in May and July, while DC Comics will release Avengers/JLA #2 and #4 in June and August.
Collectors will have access to both the original trade press and wraparound covers, as well as newly created variant covers that are yet to be disclosed. This offers an excellent opportunity for readers to enhance their collections with these highly sought-after editions.
Originally published in 2003, JLA/Avengers emerged after a protracted period of collaboration between iconic creators from Marvel and DC. Efforts for such crossovers date back over two decades, with earlier attempts from the ’80s and ’90s failing to materialize into publication.
Thanks to the remarkable George Pérez, who was pivotal to the project during its initial stages, fans were treated to a masterful rendition of this crossover alongside renowned writer Kurt Busiek. Upon its release, JLA/Avengers (and its counterpart, Avengers/JLA) was met with critical acclaim, securing a lasting legacy within popular culture.
