It’s not every day that one receives an invitation to test a park simulation game centered around dinosaurs. However, we had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive demo of Jurassic Park Evolution 3 held in the vibrant city of London. Organized by Frontier Developments, the event gathered journalists and content creators for a unique experience, where we underwent a training simulation designed to prepare us for running our own Jurassic World park. This event promised to not only engage us but also present various challenges one might face while managing such a dynamic environment. Let’s take you through the highlights of this immersive experience.

The venue for this special event was the historic Museum of London, located near St. Paul’s Cathedral, an iconic structure that has served for multiple filming locations, including scenes from Endor. For this occasion, the facility was transformed into the Dinosaur Integration Network, a safe space to study and manage dinosaurs in a world where they coexist with humans. The game’s narrative unfolds between Jurassic World Dominion and Jurassic World Rebirth, suggesting that instead of confining dinosaurs, we should embrace the opportunity to establish parks and research facilities globally. What could possibly go awry?

Upon arrival, participants were taken on a tour of the Dinosaur Integration Network’s training facility, which was meticulously organized to prepare us for the simulation session. We explored a Planning and Construction area, highlighting terrain manipulation and showcasing various building types essential for ensuring safety across the park. Additionally, the event introduced innovative theme park attractions, including hot air balloon rides and the “Cretaceous Cruise,” a leisurely kayak experience through dinosaur habitats.

The next stop was the “Feeding Pen” area, where juvenile dinosaurs were displayed. We arrived just after observing a Lokiceratops making its presence known; a testament to the realities of managing these majestic creatures. Our encounter included a glimpse into the training procedures for velociraptor juveniles, leading us to valuable insights into dinosaur rehabilitation and management practices.

Subsequently, we made our way to the Paleo-Ecology Lab, which demonstrated methods of recreating ancient plant life and tailoring environments to support diverse dinosaur populations. This element emphasizes the necessity of creating optimal habitats that cater to the ecological needs of each dinosaur species, ensuring their comfort and survival.

Entering the “Simulation Room,” we were greeted by Cabot Finch (Graham Vick), who energizingly welcomed us to this critical test run. The legendary Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) voiced the importance of selecting the best minds for this undertaking, emphasizing the need for ingenuity and caution. The presentation was remarkable, immersing attendees in the world of Jurassic World Evolution 3 and setting the stage for our hands-on demo.

The hands-on demo comprised two distinct sections: a tutorial phase and a Sandbox Mode experience. During the tutorial, we were guided through the fundamental aspects of managing a park, instilling the core principles of combining various species within a homogenous environment while responding to unforeseen emergencies. This guidance was invaluable, helping us acclimatize to the numerous operational steps required to ensure both the park’s success and the safety of its inhabitants. As with all tycoon games, Jurassic World Evolution 3 presents various challenges tied to maintenance and management. From establishing effective security protocols to veterinary care, each aspect demands diligence and an organized approach to ensure all is running smoothly. Emergency contingencies are crucial—failure to implement them could lead to dire situations.

In the enjoyable Sandbox Mode, players are granted more freedom to construct their parks whilst facing unique challenges. Participants were tasked with releasing a new species of flying dinosaurs into an open area, only to realize that key infrastructure—a fence—had been overlooked, leading to a chaotic scene as dinosaurs roamed freely.

However, the experience took an unexpected turn when a security breach occurred, resulting in a temporary lockdown as we were ushered into a bunker to ensure our safety. While the tension was palpable, the added excitement mirrored the unpredictable nature of the game.

In summary, the event was an exhilarating exploration of Jurassic World Evolution 3, showcasing significant advancements from its predecessors. Prospective players will find a wealth of engaging content that ensures a uniquely challenging and entertaining experience. As we anticipate the game’s release on October 21, 2025, there remains much to discover within this thrilling world.
