DC Comics’ recent announcement regarding its Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) titles for May 2, 2026, signifies a strategic pivot in how the publisher engages with its audience and collectors alike.
The titles set for release include DC: Next Level, Aquamanatee, DC x Sonic the Hedgehog, and The Nice House on the Lake. These selections will not only be distributed through Lunar Distribution, Universal Distribution, and Diamond UK but will also be available for free on the DC Universe Infinite platform the same day. The DC Next Level FCBD 2026 Sampler offers readers a glimpse into upcoming series such as Batwoman by Greg Rucka and DaNi, Lobo from Skottie Young and Jorge Corona, and Deathstroke: The Terminator crafted by Tony Fleecs and Darmine Di Giandomenico. Notably, these titles are slated to launch in March, allowing for early reprints of pivotal content.
Continuing the trend of reprints, Aquamanatee will also showcase excerpts from last year’s kids’ graphic novel, while DC x Sonic the Hedgehog will feature the first issue of its miniseries. Notably, Nice House on the Lake #1 will be reprinted as well.
