For decades, Stan Lee stood as a monumental figure in comic conventions. Now, nearly seven years after his passing at the age of 95, he will again make an appearance at the L.A. Comic Con, this time as an AI hologram designed to interact with fans.
Attendees will experience the hologram firsthand at the Stan Lee Experience area, a **1,500-square-foot** enclosed booth. Admission will vary, costing between **$15-$20** based on advance ticket purchases. In addition to enjoying conversations with the hologram, fans will have paid opportunities for photo sessions and even three-minute one-on-one interactions.
Bob Sabouni, Head of Stan Lee Legacy Programs for Kartoon Studios and a former Marvel executive, emphasized the company’s commitment to authenticity: “We’ll never put words in his mouth that aren’t in line with things he spoke about in his lifetime. Fortunately, with decades of footage capturing his thoughts on so many subjects, we can build a voice that stays true, not always word for word, but always faithful in spirit, context, and intent.”
This innovative hologram is the result of collaboration with Proto Hologram, a company that previously facilitated the launch of an interactive mirror for **The Conjuring** in 47 malls, along with Hyperreal, known for developing realistic avatars.
Stan Lee, famed for co-creating iconic characters such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Daredevil, was the most prominent face of comic book culture, known beyond enthusiast circles thanks to his memorable cameos in multiple Marvel films.
According to event organizers, fans might be surprised as the hologram may appear in various parts of the convention, possibly introducing noteworthy panels or activities.
This year’s convention is scheduled to take place from **September 26-28**. Fans will undoubtedly be eager to engage with this modern technological homage to a legendary figure.
