According to a press release from IDW Publishing, the latest era for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will commence this December, featuring fresh storylines and new characters along with a revamped creative team. With the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13, Eisner Award-winning writer Gene Luen Yang will take over from Jason Aaron, while Freddie E. Williams II will serve as the series’ lead artist. The issue promises a multitude of variant covers from renowned artists, including franchise co-creator Kevin Eastman, Nathan Szerdy, and David Nakayama. Notably, one of these variants will introduce the franchise’s next significant villain, Ujigami, further enriching the TMNT universe.
