The Muppet Show marked a significant milestone as it celebrated the 50th anniversary of its original premiere with a successful revival. The recent special took home four awards at the Creative Arts Emmys held on Saturday, September 5.
These accolades coincide with the anniversary of the original show, which first aired on September 5, 1976. The revival special debuted on February 4, 2026, on Disney+ and ABC, featuring Sabrina Carpenter and executive produced by Seth Rogen.
The special won the following awards:
- Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded)
- Outstanding Writing For A Variety Special
- Outstanding Production Design For A Variety Special
- Outstanding Picture Editing For Variety Programming
While the recognition is impressive, Disney has yet to confirm whether the revival will continue with additional episodes.
