Recently, Bleeding Cool provided insights into the past year’s storytelling, detailing significant shifts in the Spawn Universe. The acknowledgment of heaven, hell, and other supernatural elements have transitioned from mere belief to established truths among Earth’s populace, culminating in a more complex narrative landscape.
In light of these developments, Todd McFarlane will be stepping away from penning the main titles Spawn, The Scorched, and Gunslinger Spawn. Matthew Rosenberg, recognized for his acclaimed work on titles such as Punisher and X-Men, is set to take the reins of both Spawn and King Spawn (with Rory McConville helming King Spawn). Each of the upcoming issues will feature a special Cover C 1:50 Foil Variant to mark this transition, coinciding with the series’ anticipation of Spawn #400, slated for release in two years, contingent on production schedules.
