Mattel is celebrating one of Hollywood’s most recognizable icons with a glamorous new Barbie Signature Marilyn Monroe Doll, arriving during the year that marks what would have been Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday.
The new collectible recreates Monroe’s unforgettable look from her performance of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” in the 1953 musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Barbie steps into the spotlight wearing the instantly recognizable pink gown, complete with its oversized bow, long matching gloves, and sparkling jewelry inspired by the legendary musical number. The doll was created in collaboration with The Estate of Marilyn Monroe LLC.
