Viking Moon is authored by Joe Pruett (Negative Burn) and illustrated by Marcelo Frusin (Hellblazer). The debut issue showcases cover art by Frusin alongside collaborators Philippe Xavier, Dalabor Talajic, and Möritat.

According to Image Comics, here’s the official synopsis of Viking Moon:

VIKINGS versus WEREWOLVES! Discover the true motive behind why Vikings abandoned North America! This brutal saga commences in the year 1003, when Leif Erikson founded a Viking settlement in Vinland (known today as Newfoundland). Yet this new land offers more than just bountiful resources; the nighttime reveals dark realities lurking within… Two decades after their initial expedition ended in calamity, a fresh attempt to colonize this wilderness occurs. Ulf and his battle-hardened clan of Vikings soon learn that the whispers of creatures caught between man and beast aren’t mere folklore, but a deadly truth.

Pruett expresses his long-held ambition for Viking Moon, stating, “This project has been years in the making, as I searched for the right collaborator to bring this vision to life. Finding Marcelo Frusin was a dream come true! His artistic prowess is unparalleled, and his enthusiasm for our subject matter—Vikings and Werewolves—confirmed that he was the ideal partner for this journey. I genuinely believe his current work is among his career’s finest. If you’re as passionate about the worlds of Vikings and Werewolves as we are, you’re in for a stunning experience!”
