How to Watch ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Live-Action Movie: Disney+ Release Date

Lilo & Stitch has crash-landed into home theaters.

The live-action remake of the original animated film will be available for streaming on Disney+ on September 3. Until then, Lilo & Stitch is available for purchase or rental digitally on Apple TV+, Prime Video, and other premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms. A Blu-ray and DVD release is slated for August 26, which will include a 4K UHD Steelbook collector’s edition.

The live-action adaptation features performances from David Kawena, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance, and Hannah Waddingham, alongside original voice actors Tia Carrere, Amy Hill, Jason Scott Lee, and Chris Sanders.

Lilo & Stitch has surfed past the $400 million mark at the global box office, making it the largest Memorial Day opener in history. As part of Disney’s established franchise, this new film has also sparked discussions around its narrative choices and their representations of Hawaiian culture and displacement.
