Insiders report that Holland’s injury is classified as mild, leading the actor to take a temporary break from filming for several days. The production team at Sony is scheduled to convene on Monday to determine the next steps for the ongoing project, with no other injuries reported.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day holds significant importance for Sony’s upcoming slate. The previous installment, Spider-Man: No Way Home, achieved monumental success, grossing $1.91 billion, making it the studio’s highest-grossing film ever. Furthermore, Far From Home was the first in the franchise to exceed the $1 billion mark, solidifying its critical relevance.
This film is pivotal not only for Sony but also for Marvel Studios, which co-produces the project. It’s their sole feature film set for release prior to Avengers: Doomsday in December 2026.
